An Amish Money- Saving Tip You Need To Try For Your Next Grocery Shopping Trip

May 14, 2018 by summer

Cutting your expenses can be really hard. You want the comforts of the modern the world, but the expenses that come with those comforts are just not very pleasant at all. The Amish can teach us a thing or two though. They know how to live comfortably and spend less than the average English person.

Please do understand though, that comfort is all up to an individual. Two persons will have the same thing, and one sees it as something they can live comfortably without, while the other sees it as a necessity.

Mindset plays an important role with an individuals definition of comfort. And when you are making your monthly budget, it could save you a lot of money if you adjust your mindset as to what is really necessary for you to be comfortable.

The Amish have really mastered being comfortable without a lot of resources non Amish folks would think they can’t live without. So they are a good good group to look to for ways to cut back on your budget and still have a good life.

You might have heard about the Amish taxi. This is the Amish way of carpooling.

In regular society, friends carpool for work and other activities. It is a great way to save on transportation expenses. In the Amish world, it is quite common for Amish families to hire an Amish taxi. Amish taxis are operated by non Amish folks, who transport the Amish to places horses and buggies cannot manage. Amish women from different households like coming together and hiring an Amish taxi. This way, it doesn’t cost one person or household so much to hire a taxi. They especially like doing this when going grocery shopping.

You might not hire an Amish taxi, since you aren’t Amish. But planning and carpooling with friends for grocery shopping could save you some money. It’s one vehicle, so that means one charge for fuel that everybody pays for. You all get to where you want, enjoy a nice trip together and everybody benefits by saving on transportation cost.

You could carpool like the Amish with your best friend or sister. That is if you all live within the same vicinity. Have you ever carpooled before? Is it something you think you would try?
