No Amish pantry is complete without some cans of jam and jelly. Jams and jellies are great for making sandwiches, spreading on your pancakes and also bread slices.
Flower Patch reader, Pam, asked for a tutorial on making Amish jams and jellies. We love their jams and jellies too. And here is a wonderful Amish Grape Jam Recipe. It is so easy to make and certainly delightful.
5 Cups Natural Cane Sugar
5 Cups Black Seedless Grapes
4 Tbs Fresh Lemon Juice
Remove stems and crush grapes. Combine crushed grapes, sugar and lemon juice in a pot. Cook together for 20 to 40 minutes. While cooking, keeping stirring to prevent sticking. The jam will get thicker as it cools. For best results, can your jam and leave in a cool place over night before using.
