How To Remove Grease From Your Cabinets
Kitchen cabinets will easily get dirty. You touch them while you have food on your hands and sometimes grease from your kitchen adventures too. Also, just being in the kitchen puts them in the way of getting splashed and messy with all the activities that go on in the kitchen.
The gunk can be hard to remove though. And the build can really make your cabinets look ugly after some time. You might try to scratch it off, and get the result of damaged cabinets. And you can’t just take any scotch brite or souring pad and scour away. Because that might just leave you with really scratched up cabinets.
Here is a good fix…
Use baking soda and coconut oil.
Baking soda makes the perfect scrub for almost anything. It is a wonderful degreaser and it helps with sanitization. But scouring with baking soda alone will probably leave your wooden cabinets looking all dried out and dull.
Coconut oil added to the mixture will leave your cabinets looking shiny and nice. Coconut oil is usually a good ingredient that aides in maintaining your wooden furniture, fixtures and utensils.
It’s best to put the mixture on with your hands, and use a toothbrush to scrub. That way, you can be sure you are getting it in all the corners.
For this mixture, you need 2 parts baking soda and 1 part coconut oil.
When you are done scouring, use a cotton tea towel to clean up for a sparkly finish.
